Today:

  • Shrapnel's "Shrappy Holidays 2024" event runs from November 18-25, offering players a festive-themed gameplay experience with exclusive NFT rewards, new weapons, and the chance to win physical prizes through daily missions and raffles.

Upcoming:

  • Open Loot will launch OLRP to $OL token conversion on November 19, 2024, at 6:00 AM EST, with a conversion rate of 100 OLRP to 1 $OL.

  • Fableborne, a mobile action RPG, has migrated from Avalanche to the Ronin blockchain and announced Season 3, launching November 20, 2024.

  • Super Champs is set to launch the $CHAMP token on the Base blockchain on November 20, 2024.

  • Illuvium: Beyond Wave 3 releases on November 21, 2024, featuring a visual overhaul, account-bound rewards (including battle boards, skins, and emotes), secondary wallet support for collectors, and a limited-time triple rewards boost for legacy players.

  • The GAM3 Awards 2024 voting officially closed on November 15th at 11:59 PM UTC, with the results set to be announced on November 22nd at 11:00 AM UTC during a live-streamed ceremony from the YGG Play Summit in Manila, Philippines, marking the first in-person event for these awards that celebrate excellence in web3 gaming across various categories.

  • Cornucopias is launching Phase 3 on November 22, 2024, introducing two new vehicles—the Atmos Juggernaut and Rando's Sunset Speeder.

This past week:

  • Boss Fighters launched its Economy Test, allowing players with Showrunner Contract NFTs to earn Proxy $BFT—a tradable premium currency on Open Loot—by playing matches with equipped Badges, which can be used to craft Digital Collectibles and test the game's economic system before the official $BFT token launch and Early Access release.

  • The KARRAT Foundation has announced plans to develop Studio Chain, a dedicated blockchain aimed at enhancing Web3 gaming and entertainment, offering customized ecosystems for creators and developers with features like seamless in-game asset ownership and enhanced interoperability, aligning with industry trends and partnering with AMGI Studios and My Pet Hooligan for its 2025 launch

  • Off The Grid now supports crossplay between Xbox and PlayStation 5 players. However, PC players are currently not included in the crossplay functionality.

  • Pirate Nation officially launched Season 3 on November 14, 2024, introducing new features such as enhanced leaderboards (Social and Collector), an updated crafting system, increased level caps for Pirates and Ships, and a revamped staking mechanism that rewards long-term player commitment, all aimed at enriching gameplay and fostering community engagement.

  • Tollan Universe, is migrating from Immutable X to the XAI blockchain.

Shrapnel's Shrappy Holidays 2024 event takes place from November 18 to November 25, 2024, offering players a chance to engage with the game while earning exclusive rewards. Here's how to participate and what you can earn:

How to Participate:

  • Purchase an Extraction Pack: Required for participation, with the Basic pack starting at $9.99, available in the official marketplace.

  • Download the Game: Available through the Epic Games Store or HyperPlay.

Rewards Overview:

  1. Event Rewards:

    • Complete daily missions to earn specific rewards, including unique weapon skins and comic books.

    • A special mission, "Hunt and Kill One Dev," allows players to earn the Vol. 2 comic book set by eliminating one team member during the event.

    • Players receive unique event-specific badges for each completed mission.

  2. Daily Rewards:

    • Daily missions reset every 24 hours at 11 AM PST.

    • Completing a daily mission awards a Shrapnel Volume 2 Comic NFT.

    • Completing all six daily missions grants the entire Volume 2 collection.

  3. Physical Prizes (via Raffle):

    • Prizes include PS5 DualShock controllers, GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards, Shrapnel-branded hoodies, and physical editions of Volume 2 comic books.

    • Players can purchase raffle tickets using METAL (in-game currency) for a chance to win these prizes.

    • Winners will be notified via their Shrapnel account and must respond by December 9 to claim their prizes.

  4. Additional Rewards for NFT Holders:

    • Snapshots of NFT ownership will be taken on November 18 and November 25.

    • Holders of specific NFTs (BTC Shotgun Skin, BTC Pistol Skin, Heavenly Dragon Skin, Operator NFTs) can earn additional rewards by completing associated missions.

The event features a festive transformation of the Sacrifice Zone with holiday-themed decorations and introduces new gameplay elements such as controller support and additional weapons. This is also a final opportunity to experience the Solo Extraction mode before significant updates are announced in 2025.
