  • Shardbound, a strategy card game, announced its Open Beta will launch on October 9, 2024, on Steam and Epic Games Store.

  • Ronin will implement changes on October 9, 2024, discontinuing free gas fees for wallet users and introducing the Ronin Waypoint system, which allows third-party game studios to sponsor transactions; non-sponsored transactions will incur a fee of approximately 0.01 RON ($0.02) each, with new users receiving 5 sponsored transactions to facilitate the transition.

  • Nifty Island's $ISLAND TGE is scheduled for November 1st, 2024, following the conclusion of their Play-to-Airdrop (P2A) campaign on the same date.

  • MAYG (My Angry Yakuza Girlfriend) is launching its $MAYG token with an initial market cap of $800,000, distributing 40% to players through airdrops ending November 20, 2024, with eligibility based on active gameplay and NFT ownership, while emphasizing long-term engagement over speculative participation on the Xai Arbitrum blockchain.

  • Forgotten Playland cryptically hinted at a potential play to airdrop campaign in a tweet on October 3, 2024, stating they "can't say much" and are "certainly not going to announce" such a campaign, implying the possibility of an upcoming airdrop event for players.

This past week:

  • 1KIN Labs introduced GR1D TERM1NAL, a comprehensive hub for discovering and managing rewards across Web3 games, and launched credit packs on Amazon redeemable on the platform.

  • Off The Grid, a battle royale shooter, is now available for testing on Xbox. This marks an important step for web3 games entering mainstream gaming platforms.

  • $MYTH, the native token of the Mythos blockchain, initiated an airdrop of 10 million tokens to over 450,000 Polkadot (DOT) holders.

  • Aptos Labs and Google Cloud have launched GameStack, a platform that combines Google Cloud's data, analytics, and AI tools with Aptos' blockchain technology to help game developers integrate web3 features like wallets, payments, and NFTs into their games.

  • Immutable Passport, a Web3 gaming platform, has surpassed 3 million sign-ups, marking a 2,500% increase since its launch in early 2024.
