Weekly Web3 Gaming Updates

Today:

  • WorldShards will reveal full details of the Adventure Board Airdrop on August 18, including how players can claim their rewards. This event has been highly anticipated by the community as part of the game's ongoing in-game economy rollout. Players can expect detailed instructions on participation and rewards during this reveal.

Upcoming:

  • Star Atlas is launching Zink, a new Solana-compatible Layer 1 blockchain scheduled for mainnet launch in December 2025, featuring innovative zero-knowledge "zProfiles" that provide users with centralized digital identities and global permission settings for seamless cross-application interactions, alongside a native ZINK token for staking, consensus, and community incentives, with an XP-based airdrop campaign starting in September to reward player engagement. The chain will initially operate as a permissioned network aiming for full decentralization within 18-24 months.

  • The Calamity Incentivized Technical Test runs from August 19 to 22, offering players a chance to explore almost all upcoming play-to-airdrop features, earn USDC rewards, Factory NFTs, and enter a 500k WYRM token raffle by accumulating Gold and Valor Points through dungeon runs and trading, with a $2 Season Pass unlocking the ability to earn Wyrm Shards and maximize rewards.

  • Kuroro's new Beast Brawl season launching in August 2025 introduces a "Risk to Earn" model where players invest in competitions using Shards, energy, or real money, with 80% of revenue from paid contests going to the Pro Leaderboard prize pool, while gameplay features include cross-platform battles, Gacha Beasts that start at level 1 each season, and NFT tie-ins offering progression bonuses for collectors.

  • Ronin blockchain, originally launched as a standalone sidechain for Axie Infinity, is transitioning to become a full Ethereum Layer 2 network by Q2 2026, aiming to enhance scalability, security, and interoperability while maintaining fast, low-cost transactions and introducing new tokenomics that reward active builders through a Proof-of-Distribution model, positioning Ronin as a gamified engine within the Ethereum ecosystem. Users will continue to use the RON token for gas fees, with Ethereum’s security underpinning the network.

Ongoing:

  • The Bornless offers exclusive in-game rewards such as banners, avatars, Enigma Boxes, premium currency, unique skins, a playable demon, and chances to win merch or a GPU to players who wishlist on Steam and participate in the Gleam event, with prizes unlocked by reaching community wishlist milestones and completing social actions.

  • The Avalanche × Helika Web3 Gaming Accelerator is a 12-week program offering $25,000 initial funding and up to $125,000 more for top-performing game studios, along with expert mentorship, advanced analytics tools, technical support for blockchain integration, and showcase opportunities to help developers build and scale blockchain-based games on the Avalanche network.

This past week:

  • Immutable is expanding its Web3 gaming platform, Immutable Play, into the $300B+ Web2 gaming market, with Ubisoft as the first major Web2 studio partner; the collaboration features Ubisoft’s new title Might & Magic Fates adopting Immutable’s growth and engagement tools that harness crypto rewards, token integration, and digital ownership to enhance player engagement and solve pre-launch audience building challenges.

  • Lumiterra launched Early Access on the Monad blockchain, featuring exclusive LUMONAD NFTs, AI companions, and themed cosmetics, leveraging Monad’s high-performance, EVM-compatible network with sub-second block times and rapid transaction finality to enhance its AI-driven survival crafting game’s marketplace speed and in-game economy.

  • Neon Machine secured $19.5 million in funding led by Gala Games to support the global launch of its Web3 FPS game Shrapnel, including its expansion into the Chinese market with closed access later in 2025 and open access in early 2026, as well as a full migration to GalaChain and cooperation with China's Trusted Copyright Chain for compliant digital asset management and player-owned economies.

  • RavenQuest officially launched on the Epic Games Store on August 15, 2025, alongside its first major expansion "Treasures Below," which includes new roguelike Expeditions with risk-to-reward mechanics, a 2v2 ranked PvP Arena with competitive leagues, two new archetypes (Naturalist and Ballistics) bringing the total to 10 archetypes with 120 class combos, upgraded $QUEST 2.0 token economy, the seasonal Thaw Festival event, new weapons, cosmetic options, and quality of life improvements—all offered for free with seamless progress transfer for existing players.

BloodLoop Season 2: What You Need To Know

BloodLoop Season 2

BloodLoop is a competitive 5v5 hero-shooter set in a futuristic, dystopian world. Each character (or "hero") has unique abilities, and gameplay requires strategic teamwork and skillful use of these powers. Season 2 brings several new features and updates that make the experience fresh and exciting for both new and returning players.

Key highlights of BloodLoop Season 2:

  • Season Format: Instead of one long season, Season 2 is broken into 6 weekly events, each with its own competition and prizes. This means you have more chances to win rewards every week until about mid-September.

  • Reward System: Every week, there’s a $1,000 prize pool (totaling $6,000 for the season), mostly distributed in the game's $BLS tokens. Finish in the top 10 in a week, and you get a share of that week’s prize pool.

  • Entry and Participation: To take part in the prize events, players need to buy a Season Pass for $5 (paid in $BLS tokens). Once you have the pass, you can compete every week for prizes.

  • Weekly Competition Structure: Each week is split into two main phases: collecting crafting and refining points, and scoring in different game modes. Your performance in both phases determines your spot on the leaderboard for that week.

  • XP Boosters: A new feature this season—XP Boosters—lets you increase your rewards for a limited time or set number of matches. These boosters can be purchased with $BLS tokens in the in-game shop.

  • How to Join: BloodLoop is available on the Epic Games Store for Windows PCs, and uses its own crypto wallet system (no external wallet needed at first). You’ll need to deposit $BLS tokens into your account to buy the Season Pass and XP Boosters.

In summary: BloodLoop’s Season 2 gives players more chances, more competition, and unique weekly events to win crypto rewards, along with new ways to boost their in-game progress. Everything is designed to keep matches exciting, fair, and rewarding, especially for those who love mastering hero skills and team strategy.
