  • Zentry announced a partnership with Sky Mavis to bring its MMORPG Ragnarok Landverse to the Ronin blockchain network, with the game set to launch in Q1 2025.

  • Abstract, an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain developed by Pudgy Penguins' parent company Igloo Inc., is set to launch its mainnet in January 2025, featuring low fees, passkey wallets, and a diverse ecosystem of Web3 applications including games, NFTs, and DeFi projects.

  • Ronin Network is set to transition to a permissionless blockchain in Q1 2025, allowing developers to launch their own Layer 2 chains on top of Ronin mainnet.   • WorldShards launched Phase 2 of their economy. The game also introduced Proxy Tokens convertible 1:1 to game tokens at TGE.

  • Beam Foundation launched a node sale with proceeds automatically burning $BEAM tokens, reducing circulating supply. Over 1 billion $BEAM (approx. $33 million) already burned. The node mint fee increases on December 24, 2024, at 01:21:59 AM UTC with nodes being tradable for the Horizon upgrade in Q1 2025.

  • Wilder World, a highly anticipated metaverse game, launched its gameplay trailer on December 21, 2024, showcasing a vast open world called Wiami with photorealistic graphics, high-speed racing, FPS combat, and blockchain-powered player economy, setting the stage for its early access release in Q1 2025.

Beam Network Launches Node Token Sale: Nodes Available Now Before Price Increase Soon

Beam nodes are now available for purchase, with prices set to increase soon. These nodes are crucial components of the Beam network, a blockchain platform focused on gaming.

  • What Are Beam Nodes?

    • Validators responsible for securing the Beam Network under the new proof-of-stake (PoS) system.

    • Operate by staking at least 1 Node Token and 20,000 BEAM tokens.

  • Node Token Details:

    • Type: ERC-721 token required to operate a Beam Node.

    • Minting Availability:

      • Week 1: Available on Beam, Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum One, and Base networks.

      • After Week 1: Only on Beam and Ethereum.

      • Post-Horizon Upgrade: Exclusively on Beam Network.

    • Minting Cost:

      • Week 1: $1,250 (payable in USDC, BEAM, ETH, or AVAX).

      • After Week 1: $3,750 (payable only in BEAM).

    • Sales Fee: 7.5% enforced by smart contract.

    • Supply: Unlimited, no expiration.

  • Rewards for Node Operators:

    • Primary Rewards: BEAM transaction fees.

    • Secondary Rewards:

      • Protocol fees from marketplaces and BeamSwap.

      • Grants from Beam Foundation Treasury, including rewards from partnerships.

  • Delegation Features:

    • BEAM and Node Tokens can be delegated to validators without a minimum amount.

  • Horizon Upgrade:

    • Expected by January 2025, introducing permissionless, PoS consensus and enabling Beam Nodes.
