Upcoming:

  • Engines of Fury, an arena-based battle game set in a dystopian future, will hold a playtest on February 25, offering a sneak peek at combat before the official launch. The game has raised $5.7M from Animoca Brands & Shima Capital.

  • RavenQuest, an open-world MMORPG developed by Tavernlight Games, is set to launch globally on March 14, 2025, with new storylines and multiplayer features. Pre-registration rewards include 10 RavenPacks, a Bandit Companion, and a special in-game title.

  • Apeiron Season 5 is running from February 12 to March 26, 2025. Apeiron's Season 5 features the new FURY Avatar class, a prize pool of over $140,000, PvP and PvE leaderboards, and daily $ANIMA rewards for NFT holders. Players can compete in various game modes and earn crypto and tradeable rewards.

  • Off The Grid is preparing for a major update expected to roll out at the end of next week. This update will include new content and features such as improved movement fluidity, enhanced jetpack altitude control, a Kinetic Shield for defense against melee attacks, and updates to weapons like the Ripper and Javelina. Additionally, pages 2 & 3 of Battle Pass Section 4 will unlock, revealing more loot and a new Cyberarm. A new in-game region is also set to be introduced.

  • Nyan Heroes is launching an open playtest next month on Epic Games, featuring the new hero Coco (a junkyard cat with a scrap-sourced mech named Gizmo), the new Fishball mode (inspired by Call of Duty's Uplink), and a new Tokyo map set in a near-future Feral Guardian HQ.

  • Wolves DAO is set to launch its $WOOF token on the Avalanche blockchain.

This past week:

  • HYTOPIA has launched its alpha version, allowing players to log in, explore community-created games, and interact with others. The platform includes basic features such as account creation, game discovery, adding friends by username to see who is online and join their games.

  • My Pet Hooligan has unveiled its 2025 roadmap, which includes the introduction of mini-games, a cross-chain marketplace with payment onramps, and integration with ZuckBots. Additionally, the game is hosting a user-generated content (UGC) contest where participants can earn $KARRAT rewards by submitting creative entries.

  • Illuvium has reduced its workforce by 40%, primarily affecting non-developer roles. This restructuring aims to lower monthly expenses, extending the company's operational runway to approximately 24 months.

Badmad Robots

BADMAD ROBOTS is a free-to-play, team-based multiplayer first-person shooter set in a post-human world where malfunctioning robots have taken over. The game features intense 6v6 battles across two main game modes: Control Point and Team Deathmatch.

Key features include:

  • Diverse cast of robot characters with unique abilities and roles (attackers, tanks, support)

  • Customizable robots using blueprints and resources earned through gameplay or purchased with $METAL token

  • Built on Immutable's Web3 ecosystem with additional presence on Wemix

  • Play-to-earn mechanics allowing players to earn rewards

  • Development team includes veterans from Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, and Lords of the Fallen

Upcoming Playtest:
BADMAD ROBOTS is launching its closed beta in February 2025. A closed alpha playtest is scheduled to begin this February. Players can sign up for the playtest on the official website. The full game is set to launch on both Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game aims to be accessible to both web3 enthusiasts and mainstream gamers, requiring no prior crypto knowledge to play.

Market Forecast: Key Predictions for Major Cryptocurrencies

A fresh technical analysis has revealed several key levels and trends that could shape the market in the coming weeks. Here’s a concise breakdown of Eric Krown’s latest video:

Ethereum (ETH):
Ethereum’s near-term bullish momentum hinges on closing above a critical monthly pivot at $2,900. Currently trading just under $2,800, ETH could see a short-term bounce toward the $3,100 level. However, if it fails to clear the pivot, the long-term outlook may remain subdued, even though its structural pattern—with equal highs since March and higher closing lows—still suggests resilience, particularly when measured against Bitcoin and Solana.

Solana (SOL):
Solana has shown a lackluster response recently, with prices falling below previous monthly lows—a reversal formation that is cause for concern. In the near term, a bounce might emerge in the $190–$200 range, but the broader trend indicates significant bearish pressure. Should the downtrend persist, further declines toward $140–$135 or even as low as $92 could be on the horizon.

XRP:
XRP is testing its short-term support near the $2.30 mark after reaching new highs. A decisive bounce from this level is crucial; a recovery above $2.30 could set the stage for a rally toward the $2.83–$2.90 range. Conversely, if XRP slips below its recent lows, the asset might trade sideways for the next couple of months, as the long-term technical signals become more mixed.

Bitcoin (BTC):
Bitcoin’s technical indicators—most notably the hash ribbons—are signaling that a buy opportunity could materialize soon, with projections suggesting a confirmation within the next week. A critical factor is Bitcoin’s ability to maintain its trending higher low, which has historically provided a strong base for upward movement. Investors are advised to wait for a clear one-day confirmation before committing to new long-term positions.

In summary, while ETH and XRP show potential for near-term rebounds if key levels hold, Solana appears to be under more sustained bearish pressure. Bitcoin, on the other hand, awaits a decisive buy signal that could indicate a renewed bullish phase. Monitoring these pivotal levels closely will be essential for anyone navigating the current crypto landscape.
