Weekly Web3 Gaming Update

Upcoming:

  • Illuvium announced the launch of Beyond Wave 3 on November 21, 2024, introducing 25 new base Illuvitars, updated Tier 0 backgrounds, and new accessories. The wave features an Alpha Sale phase with unlimited Alpha D1SKs available for 24 hours, followed by an Extended Run Sale phase. Players can collect new Illuvitars, complete albums, and compete on the leaderboard for weekly rewards in unlocked $ILV tokens.

  • Blankos Block Party announced the migration to the Polkadot ecosystem, with the process beginning on September 23, 2024. Players will be able to access their inventories on the revamped Blankos Marketplace by September 30, with trading for Blankos NFTs expected to resume in mid-to-late October after a two-week verification period.

  • Hamster Kombat announced its $HMSTR token airdrop launch on September 26, 2024, with 60 billion HMSTR tokens (60% of total supply) to be distributed to players. The airdrop coincides with listings on major exchanges including Binance, BingX, Bitfinex, Bitget, Bybit, Gate.io, Huobi, KuCoin, MEXC, and OKX. Eligibility is based on in-game activity, with a snapshot taken on September 20 to determine allocations.

  • My Neighbor Alice announced the launch of Beta Season 2 on September 24, 2024, introducing new features like enhanced character customization and a refreshed in-game economy. Alongside this, the game launched its first-ever airdrop campaign called "$ALICE Airdrop Party," offering $25,000 worth of $ALICE tokens and exclusive NFTs. The airdrop event runs for nine weeks, divided into three waves, with players completing various in-game and social tasks to earn rewards and climb the leaderboard.

This past week:

  • Everreach Labs announced the launch of their Missions Terminal, offering players a chance to earn $EVER tokens through an airdrop campaign. The Missions Terminal features daily quests, weekly challenges, and special events, allowing players to accumulate points that can be redeemed for $EVER tokens.

  • Ronin announced the first 7 games joining the Ronin Forge program: Cambria (a risk-to-earn MMO), Kuroro Beasts, Pixel Heroes Adventure, Infomon, Last Odyssey, Party Icons, and Xtremeverse. These games will leverage the Ronin blockchain's features and receive funding to enhance their development and scale.

  • Play Solana announced the launch of PSG1, the first portable Web3 gaming console powered by Solana. Pre-orders will be available to "Player1" holders at a reduced price, with official pre-order details to be revealed at SolanaConf in Singapore.

  • The Flappy Bird Foundation announced plans to revive the classic Flappy Bird game with blockchain elements and a Telegram version, despite the original creator Dong Nguyen denying involvement.

  • Soulbound unveiled its Web3 livestreaming platform at TwitchCon 2024 in San Diego, featuring a bounty system for game developers to reward streamers, stream-to-earn functionality, an NFT sticker marketplace, and a prediction market.

  • Parallel, the sci-fi trading card game, announced a new 3v3 extraction game set in the Parallel universe, slated for release in 2025. The game will combine elements of their existing TCG with squad-based tactical gameplay, expanding the Parallel IP into a new genre.

  • Tatsumeeko, a life simulation RPG, announced a migration to the Ronin blockchain, with a planned launch in Q4 2024. The game, which includes the Telegram-based Lumina Hunt, will leverage Ronin's infrastructure to merge web2 and web3 gaming experiences.

  • XYO and Upland announced a strategic partnership to develop use cases combining XYO's geospatial technology with Upland's virtual property ecosystem. The collaboration aims to bridge physical and virtual worlds, with initial features launching in October 2024, including Learn & Earn campaigns in XYO's COIN app rewarding users in both apps.

  • Immortal: Gates of Pyre, developed by SunSpear Games, announced a strategic partnership with Immutable to integrate Web3 features using Immutable's zkEVM technology. The collaboration will allow players to own and trade in-game assets while maintaining low transaction costs. SunSpear Games also received $IMX tokens from the Digital Worlds Foundation to support the game's ecosystem development.

How to Withdraw Your Boss Fighters NFTs from OpenLoot and Transfer Them to Another Account

Have you ever wondered how to withdraw your Boss Fighters NFTs from OpenLoot? Maybe you're asking yourself: How much does it cost? Is there a $50 fee like in some other games such as Big Time? And how difficult is it to send these NFTs to another account?

In this guide, we'll answer all of these questions and walk you through the step-by-step process—from withdrawing your NFTs, handling gas fees, and finally sending them to another OpenLoot account. It's simpler than you think, and the fees are likely lower than expected. Let’s dive in!

Step 1: Locate Your NFTs in OpenLoot

Before you begin, make sure your NFTs are visible in the "Marketplace" tab of your OpenLoot account. Once you see them:

  • Select the NFTs you want to withdraw. You can choose multiple NFTs at once.

  • In the top-right corner, click Withdraw.

Step 2: Handle the Gas Fees

Once you've clicked Withdraw, you'll see an estimated gas fee for the transaction. Here’s what to do next:

  • Click Connect Wallet and follow the signature request in MetaMask.

  • Sign in to MetaMask and click Withdraw.

  • After that, click Pay Now to cover the gas fee. For reference, the transaction cost was $5.41 when I withdrew 2 NFTs out of OpenLoot.

Step 3: Log into OpenSea to Check Your NFTs

Once your NFTs are successfully withdrawn from OpenLoot, you’ll need to log into OpenSea:

  • Use the same MetaMask wallet you connected earlier.

  • Your Boss Fighters NFTs should now be visible in your OpenSea account. (Note: The images of the NFTs might not be visible, but that's okay.)

Step 4: Get the Recipient’s OpenLoot Address

To send your NFTs to another OpenLoot account, you'll need the recipient's OpenLoot address. Here's how they can get it:

  • The recipient needs to go to their OpenLoot collection, click Deposit in the top-right corner, select the ERC-721 network, and copy their address.

  • Once they share the address with you, you're ready to proceed.

Step 5: Transfer NFTs via OpenSea

Now that you have the recipient’s OpenLoot address, follow these steps:

  • Go back to OpenSea, select the NFT you want to send, and click Transfer (located at the bottom-right).

  • Paste the recipient’s OpenLoot address into the address field.

  • Double-check the address carefully—sending to the wrong address is irreversible.

  • Once confirmed, click Transfer and approve the gas fee (it cost $1.17 in gas for me). Finally, click Confirm.

It costs less than $10 total

And that’s it! You’ve successfully withdrawn your Boss Fighters NFTs from OpenLoot and sent them to another OpenLoot account. The process is straightforward, and the fees are lower than you might expect as long as Ethereum gas fees aren’t too high (there is no $50 fee like with Big Time).
