Upcoming:

  • Moonray, the Unreal Engine 5-powered Web3 action RPG, announced its upcoming Godspawn NFT mint scheduled for October 23. These Godspawn NFTs will serve as playable characters in the game, offering unique abilities and customization options. The mint will take place on the Arbitrum blockchain.

  • Synergy Land is running a dungeons playtest from October 22 to 25, where players can earn NFT rewards by competing on leaderboards for Grommart Kills, Monster Kills, and Runes Dropped. The top 5 in each category will receive prizes including Synergians, Islands, and Pets. The playtest includes one public round and another exclusive to NFT holders and select community members.

Today:

  • BOSS FIGHTERS is hosting a Halloween event from October 21 to November 4, where players can collect Jack-o’-lantern orbs to earn FLEX currency and exclusive Mythical Skins, with a leaderboard challenge for top collectors during the first week.

Announcements from this past week:

  • Seraph launched its Public Test Realm (PTR) on October 17, 2024, offering players early access to new features and gameplay mechanics ahead of the official Season 1 release. The RUSH Season 1 event allows players to earn Starry Feathers, redeemable for $SERAPH tokens in the future.

  • Asset management giant VanEck announced two long-term investments in the Web3 gaming sector: one in the AI blockchain game Parallel, while the other remains undisclosed.

  • HYCHAIN launched Loot Legends, a free-to-play roguelite dungeon crawler game, on both the App Store and Google Play, featuring an in-game economy based on the $TOPIA token.

  • The Gam3 Awards 2024, an annual Web3 gaming celebration, announced its shortlist of nominees and a $5 million prize pool. The event will feature its first-ever physical ceremony in the Philippines, alongside a livestream. Game of the Year finalists include Off The Grid, Pirate Nation, Parallel, Nyan Heroes, and Pixels. Voting began on October 15 and runs until November 15.

  • Faraway announced FCHAIN, an Avalanche-powered Layer 1 blockchain for their gaming ecosystem. The F Foundation teased open validator sets for FCHAIN, which will support Faraway's 9 games and creator tools.

  • Riftstorm, a co-op looter shooter action RPG, is trending as the #1 free game on Steam during its open alpha playtest running from October 16 to October 30, 2024.
